Here it is Monday again

Well, busy busy busy weekend! But it was great! Saturday was full of cleaning and guests. We got a visit from Melissa and her family, her daughter Sierra is a cheerleader with Samantha and they were on the same softball team. They couldn't make it to Samantha's party Sunday so they came by to bring her a present and visit for a while. Scott, Jen and the girls showed up to spend the night around 4 Saturday and shortly after that Matt, Aimee, and Aedan came over as well. It was a great night. But Sunday was the kicker.

Sunday started off much like Saturday, cleaning. I was non stop the rest of the day. I believe the girls started swimming at 10 am and didn't stop until 7:30 pm, and we had to ask them to get out. Anyhow the party started at 2 pm and everyone arrived at that time! Our pool was busy and our kitchen table was full of presents, snacks, and a big beautiful High School Musical cake. I would post pictures but my camera is acting up and right now I don't have a way to copy them to my computer. She made out like a bandit as usual. Lots of clothes and high school musical stuff. A few toys as well.

It was HOT yesterday, hardly a breeze. But I got to cool down, after Aimee, Matt, and Scott, threw me in the pool. I was not clothes ready to be in the pool, but they didn't mind. So we had a couple of sun burned kids, and a lot of tired adults. In any case our weekend was perfect and we had fun with everyone. Thank you to those who came and to those who couldn't you were missed! Have a great week everyone!

Anniversary and 1st day of school

Hello All! As many of you know yesterday was mine and Josh's second anniversary. Two years went by very fast. We haven't had a date, yet, we plan too believe me. But it's been a very busy couple of weeks and last night was no exception. Josh had football practice and Samantha and I went to her school's back to school night. Where was Megan you ask? Well my Mama watched her so Samantha and I could have some one on one time, and she needed some time with her as well. So Josh and I have decided that sometime this next week we will try to have a date. We are very excited about it.

So my first baby started 4th grade today. It was very difficult for me to accept that she is that old. I was not alone, Grandma Debbie called and wondered how in the world we were able to have a 4th grader already. Samantha was perfectly fine with going back to school. She loves it and I'm so happy she does. I remember I used to get sick on the first day of school every single year, not sick but I would not eat breakfast and I had the biggest butterflies in my belly. Not my kid, she may eat more on the first day to get her started right. I asked her Monday night if she wanted me to walk her to class for the first day or if she wanted Papa to take her. I didn't even get the sentence out and she was saying "Papa, Papa, Papa." She is so independent. She is really looking forward to resuming Friday "dates" with Papa. Papa picks her up from school and they go to eat somewhere and play. She loves that time, and a little birdie told me Papa loves it just as much if not more. When I picked her up today she said she had a great day. She got the teacher she wanted. The only thing she would change if she could is her best friend is not in her class. They played every chance they got today though. They still walk out of school together after school gets out. She told me she wanted to jump in the pool as soon as we got home and I told her she could after her homework, and she said "I don't have homework Mom, but you do". She was not kidding, I had so many papers to fill out. I was going cross-eyed.

If you didn't get the memo Samantha's Birthday Party has been changed from Saturday the 16th, to Sunday the 17th at 2 pm for cake and ice cream, and swimming of course. The football men in our family have a football event to go to all day Saturday, so plans had to change. We are looking forward to seeing everyone. Hope the rest of your week goes great!

Busy weekend

Hello everyone! I was planning on writing and I guess Matthew Robert thinks I have all the time in the world so I need to be writing anyhow, so let me just appease him.

This weekend has just begun and we have been quite busy. I got Samantha back from Grandma Debbie Thursday night and I couldn't stop hugging my now 9 year old. Friday I was getting back into the swing of things with having Mr. Man again. Then Friday night we all went to practice. Josh to football practice and Samantha to Cheer. It was a family affair. Auntie Kylie was watching Uncle Jakey coach and Grandma Kimmy came to watch Samantha practice. We were missing Uncle Jere and Auntie Courtney. Samantha has a lot of new cheers to pick up, but she was getting them very well. She even tried stunts. After practice Samantha went home with Grandma and Papa and had dinner with them, she of course talked Grandma into an ice cream treat.

Now it's Saturday and we all woke up early, except Daddy, he got to sleep in for once. We all got ready for a busy day. Grandma Kimmy came at 7:45 to pick us girls up. Samantha had her first day of Cheer camp, and it was a full day for her. We dropped her off at 8:30 she was very nervous and I hoped she would like it and have a great day. Megan, Grandma, and I went to Sonora for the day. We started off by going to Cover's Apple Ranch. Megan got to see cows, chickens, turkeys, roosters, sheep, a couple of swans, and fed them. We had a little breakfast there. I shouldn't say little it was a big breakfast and very good. Then we headed to a Pampered Chef party that Aunt Karen was having. We got to see Gram, Aunt Karen, and Nicole. Megan was a very good girl and stole the show. I bought a few things that I really wanted, and FYI I plan on having a party of my own in the next couple of months. I love Pampered Chef so I really don't mind. Finally Grandma brought us back home, we had a great day with her.

Samantha's camp was over at 4, she could have spent the night, but she isn't the spend the night kind of girl. I was nervous about picking her up because she hasn't caught the Cheerleading fever yet. Well let me just tell you she caught it today. When I got there I could hear all kinds of noise coming from the gym. I went in just in time to see a BIG group of girls dancing. I saw Samantha's friend Sierra in the front and thought she would be near her. I looked further into the crowd and realized that more girls from our squad were all mixed in. Finally I look over to where the bigger tall girls were, and there she was. My "little" girl was in the big girl section of the dancers. How did that ever happen. She did great though. I'm not going to lie, Mama started tearing up. She is so beautiful and was doing a great job. As she walked off the floor she saw me, she ran to me smiling all the way. We found my friend Melissa and talked with her for a minute and she informed me that they had the best day. As Samantha and I walked to the car I nervously asked how her day had gone, and she said "I had so much fun Mom!" Hanging from her ponytail she had a yellow ribbon, it was for "Dancing Diva, Star Dancer". When I asked her about it she said she got it for dancing so well, and not everyone got one. Let me tell you there is not many other things that make you feel as good as when you are a proud Mama. I was also relieved to know she enjoyed herself. She can't wait for tomorrow.

Josh is over at Cody's right now, watching a fight and playing poker, he wanted us to go, but my girls, especially my cheerleader need to go to bed at a good time tonight. Tomorrow she will go to cheer while we get a lot of things done around the house. We get to watch a performance they will put on tomorrow, then we will all head up to Sonora. Josh needs a haircut and Chloe's party is tomorrow.

I'm sorry for being so descriptive but this is really letting me release some energy. Matthew Robert I do hope you enjoyed yourself in reading my blog, I will try not to make you wait again.

Love you all and thanks for taking the time!

Letting you know we are on Blogspot

Hi everyone, I wrote a blog earlier but I don't think it sent out anything to let you know, so I'm hoping you will get this one!

The summer is almost over!

It's a Tuesday evening and I've decided to join blogspot. My cousin Brandon and his wife Jenny have one, and now so do my brother and his wife. So I've decided for all my family who doesn't have myspace it would be nice for them to have a place to check up on us, see what we are up to.
This has been my busiest summer ever. I don't even work anymore and I'm so busy. Samantha wrapped up Softball the end of this summer, and started Cheerleading for the Ceres Seahawks. She is doing really well, but isn't quite sure about it all. She knows for sure she wants to do softball next year, not so sure about cheerleading. She makes the cutest cheerleader though. She has spent a lot of time this summer with Grandma Debbie and I don't know who counts down the days they see each other again more, Samantha or Grandma Debbie.
Megan is 15 months and RUNNING all over the place. I do believe she is more of a talker then Samantha was, she climbs more than Samantha ever did. She loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on the Disney channel. She also loves to play with cousin Aedan. Now that he is sitting up it's really cute to see them interact.
Mom moved out a few weeks ago. Sad change of events, but only because I was loving her living here. One good thing came out of it, Megan has her own room. She didn't need one badly, but we are glad she has one. Mom is happy that is all that matters.
Josh is really good, things at work are the same. He is looking into a higher position, but he is great at his if that doesn't work out. We miss living in Sonora, but we get tastes of it every once in a while, which I think sometimes makes it worse. We miss the small town feel, and family and friends we left up there. We would be completely lost if we couldn't see Scott, Jen, the girls, Dad, and Twin and her girls. I love being a stay at home Mom but it's the hardest job I've ever had. I see Aedan and Aimee a lot and we have a ton of fun.
I hope to keep this updated, so if you like it let me know! Love you all very much! Talk to you soon!
